Paniqui’s First Mall

Paniqui’s First Mall

Welcome mallrats in Paniqui, Tarlac

Paniqui’s First Mall Paniqui, Tarlac – Hallelujah! Hallelujah! There is finally an air-conditioned mall in town, Waltermart Paniqui, we can all be proud of. I had to mention air-conditioned because the old Paniqui Mall we had all known since our childhood can not qualify as a “mall” anymore. In a town where it’s extremely warm and with occasional power intereuption, we need this!

On May 11 along the National Highway infront of Sea Voyager Restaurant, all feet and trikes led to the opening of this mall in the booming municipality of Paniqui, Tarlac. Much to the delight of the Paniqueños, the mall was also visited by Pambansang Bae Alden Richards.

Waltermart is a Filipino chain of malls, which started in South Luzon. Now the brand is trying to include North Luzon in its conquest hence, the Paniqui branch. Among the establishments which also opened on May 11 are Watsons, Abenson, Ace Hardware, Japan Shopping Center (it’s almost like Daiso), World of Fun, Lil People, David’s Salon, Home Plus and Waltermart’s own Department and Grocery stores.

As a native of this once sleepy town, I cannot hide my elation to see this establishment, proving we are on the right track to progress. This is the first of the three new malls that are under construction and about to open in Paniqui. We no longer need to go to nearby cities to experience this one-stop shopping, dining and employment for our kababayans.

On weekends, there is Tae Kwon Do lessons under the team behind Tarlac Tae Kwon Training Center, a Sunday mass every 4pm and daily Zumba classes at 6pm.

I am also most excited about the Department of Foreign Affairs opening its Paniqui branch so we don’t have to go far away when we need passporting services. This will attract many many visitors and it will be convenient for them since this has recently been the town’s bus stop over.

As a foodie, I am most excited with the restaurants in Waltermart Paniqui. Currently opened, we have the second branch of Plaza Mocha, the new Cindy’s, a new to Paniquenos is Giligan’s. Mang Inasal opened last August where there is an unbelievable queue. There are also food kiosks like Turks, Potato Corner, Master Siomai, Lugawan ni Bossing, Rice in a Box, Takoyaki, Paotsin, and Chowking. Dunkin Donuts and KFC are still under construction.

Although I was hoping to see more, who knows? Maybe more are coming after seeing the number of people this new mall attracts.

Suggested Stores:

Cinema, McDonald’s, Greenwich, CDR King, Tronix, Kidzoona, Mini-Stop, Booksale, Bench (I specifically chose cheap stores but very much in demand because either we still dont have them here, or we need more affordable options, or just a variety of what’s available. These are mere suggestions. )
